Plex apps show one subtitle track at a time, and people have been asking for two since 2013 - mostly to learn a language with the original line on top and a translation below. Lalea plays your Plex library with exactly that: two lines over the picture, and every word can be tapped.

A Plex player picks one subtitle stream for a film. The request for more than one is one of the oldest on the Plex forum - Multiple subtitle display support - and new threads asking the same keep appearing. As of October 2026 the request is still open.
The usual workaround is to merge two .srt files into one with a subtitle editor and add the result next to the film. It works, but it is manual for every film and the two languages become one stacked track.
Connect Plex once: Account - Connect Plex, sign in to Plex and choose your server. Your films and series appear in Lalea with "Continue watching", folders and collections. Press play: the original is on top, the translation below. Choose the text subtitles your server has for the film (for example, an .srt file next to it) for the first line and a second language for the line below - or an AI translation if your language is missing. Works in the browser and in Lalea's Android phone and TV apps.
Open Lalea's second screen on your phone while the film plays on the TV. It shows the current line and its translation in time with the film, and every word can be tapped. It follows the TV and does not control it.
For players that can show only one track, the free dual subtitle maker joins two languages into one .srt file. Put it next to the film on your server and Plex shows both languages.
Video plays from your server to your browser. When your browser cannot reach the server directly, the stream passes through Lalea's server without being stored. Your server has to be reachable from the internet.
No. You sign in on Plex's own page and Lalea receives an access key.
